What? A 135m high wheel built to mark the new Millennium. The London Eye carries 3.5million people every year making it one of London’s most popular attractions. Each ‘flight’ lasts 30 minutes and from its highest point you can see as far as 40km, on a clear day.
Where? Westminster Bridge Road, SE1. Situated on the Southbank, opposite Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. The nearest underground station is Waterloo (Jubilee, Northern and Bakerloo lines), Embankment (Northern and Bakerloo lines), Charing Cross (Northern and Bakerloo lines) and Westminster (Jubilee, Circle and District lines) stations are on the North Bank.
From the Hotel The best way to the London Eye is by Bus. Exit the Hotel, take a right and walk straight ahead. Take a right at the first set of traffic lights onto Warwick Way and walk straight. At the second set of traffic lights take a left onto Wilton Road and walk all the way down to Victoria Bus station. From Victoria Bus station take Bus number 11 or 24 to Westminster.From Victoria Bus station take Bus number 11 or 24 to Westminster and cross Westminster Bridge to reach the London Eye.
